u/n multitude is a community of artists and music historians, whose practice is inextricably linked with the performative and public activities. The authors call their works «political scores». Music in this case is a kind of lacuna for understanding social and historical conflicts through experiencing the moment in its duration. Music and performance become the politics itself.
u/n multitude defines «score» as a sequence of actions, which connect artist, artwork and political context in a single statement. However, the «political scores» refuse the principle of total dissolution of art in a political gesture. «Scores» are still an autonomous scripts or objects, irreducible to produced consequences. Thus these «scores» historically react to failures of program of art-activism in recent years and bring back the wide-open space between the artwork and the social interpretation. Music for u/n is the music of the political effects which again become an aesthetic object, a kind of social sculpture of acoustic worlds.
In the period from 2014 to 2017 the group consisted of participants: Nikita Spiridonov, Lena Zubtsova, Ilya Fomin, Igor Krivda, Sonia Rumyantsev and others.
