2016年8月11日，第三届爱知三年展在日本名古屋正式拉开序幕，中国艺术家刘韡创作于2014年到2016年间的大型装置新作《绿地》（Green Land）在其中亮相。本届爱知三年展由在港千寻担任艺术总监，展览在2016年10月23日结束。
大型装置作品《绿地》是刘韡“丛林”系列帆布作品的最新延伸。艺术家于2015年在北京尤伦斯当代艺术中心进行的个展“颜色”中呈现了大型帆布装置《迷中迷》(2014)，此浸入式作品从另一种角度考虑了运行于长期帆布作品系列“丛林”中的“丛林法则”的普世意义。受当下全球事件影响的《绿地》则指向了一种有关全面景观化的迷思：在当下，新式的、超越了意识形态对立的、不可见的“柏林墙”再次崩塌，“不可见性”已经消失，但一切事物未能组成一个无缝、流畅的整体，反而在内部日益异质化的道路上愈加分裂。
2010年8月，三年一次的国际艺术祭“爱知三年展”开幕，从爱知向世界传递并介绍新的艺术动向。首届展览以“都市的祭典”为题目，邀请众多国际知名艺术家参展，其中包括中国艺术家蔡国强、杨福东、孙原、彭禹、张洹、陈劭雄、孙逊等人。（雅昌艺术网专稿）
